Long-Term Disability Underwritten by Standard
Coverage for long term disability is paid in full by the University. A monthly income is provided if the employee is totally disabled for an extended period as a result of an accident or illness. Benefits equal to 60 percent of regular monthly earnings are payable after a 180 day waiting period. Benefits continue as long as the disability remains, or until age 65 (or later if disability occurs after age 60).
