Head Football Coach, Athletics

Responsibilities:

This is a full-time, 12-month position responsible for all phases of the football program in a manner compatible with department and University philosophies.

The following primary responsibilities will include:

recruitment of prospective student-athletes in coordination with Office of Admissions
administering football grant-in-aid program
coaching, mentoring, and retaining student-athletes
in-season practice and game planning; out of season conditioning
compliance with NCAA, MIAA, and University rules and regulations
managing football operations budget including equipment, travel, recruiting, etc…
fundraising and alumni, community, and media relations

Additional secondary responsibilities will include administrative duties within the Department of Athletics.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications include:

bachelor’s degree;
demonstrated effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills;
minimum three (3) years football coaching and recruiting experience;
understanding of the unique opportunities and challenges in a highly selective academic environment
knowledge of and commitment to NCAA rules;
commitment to academic success and student-athlete well being

Preferred qualifications include:

master’s degree;
NCAA Division II coaching experience
collegiate football coaching experience in a successful program
recruiting experience in Missouri and surrounding states
