Regional Admission Coordinator - St. Louis, Admission Office

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for assisting students in making informed college decisions, disseminating information about opportunities at Truman and encouraging well-prepared students to consider attending the University. The Regional Admission Coordinator will be expected to maintain a strong general knowledge of Truman State University, including a keen awareness of student services, academic disciplines, residential living and admission, scholarship, and financial aid processes. This position involves extensive travel within a designated area, predominately in and around the greater St. Louis metropolitan area.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree; exceptional communication skills (written & oral); a dedication to the importance of higher education; evidence of successful interactions with people from diverse backgrounds and age levels; experience working effectively as a part of a team; a record of success independently completing assigned projects with limited direct supervision; the ability to lift/carry items ranging up to 40 lbs. in weight; and a valid driver’s license.

Preferred qualifications include a minimum of 1 – 2 years of admission counseling experience; significant professional experience effectively using the Microsoft Office Suite; and an educational background at a selective liberal arts university.
