Systems Analyst, Information Technology Services

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include developing reports and queries to meet the administrative computing requirements of the University; actively supporting users; programming/implementing new functions as they become needed and/or available; and providing technical assistance in resolving systems problems.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience; knowledge of SQL; working knowledge of relational databases; working knowledge of or proven capability to quickly learn programming language(s), Unix, report generators, and database management tools; time management skills and organizational ability for project management; demonstrated ability to research, quickly identify, and correct computer problems using system utilities/diagnostics; and effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred qualifications include familiarity with supporting financial and/or human resources data and databases and knowledge of Oracle, MS SQL Server, and SunGard’s Banner system.
