The Bulldog Award recognizes "Shared Team Achievement and Recognition" for outstanding customer service practices. Whether an organization succeeds or fails depends on its level of customer service.
Quality, pride and initiative are hallmarks of the department's performance. The department constantly strives to excel and provide quality customer service. The department's positive attitude best exemplifies the University’s shared values. The staff's customer service efforts exemplify the "community spirit" of the University.
The Bulldog statue is awarded every other month to the department with practices and policies which enable that department to demonstrate excellence in providing outstanding customer service to customers, both internal and external.
Any faculty and staff member can nominate a department, who they feel strive to be outstanding in providing customer service. Supervisors and directors are encouraged to submit their own departments who they feel provide customer service in an outstanding manner. Please provide specific examples and accomplishments that accurately highlight positive actions demonstrated by the department. The Staff Development and Recognition Committee will review the nominations and select the “most qualified” department. The outstanding practices recognized will be placed on the human resource website along with a picture of the group nominated. The department will display the Bulldog Statue for that month, and then the statue rotates to the next department selected. A framed certificate will be provided in its place. Departments can enter as often as they like.
