September 2010 Points of Excellence Award Winner

The Points of Excellence Award for September 2010 goes to Cheryl Miller of the Physical Plant.

Cheryl is the Academic Housekeeper Supervisor for the Physical Plant.  She was nominated because of her outstanding customer service, work performance, and commitment to Truman Values. 

Cheryl initially supervised only the evening shift of academic housekeepers.  When the morning supervisor stepped down earlier this year, Cheryl volunteered to assume the responsibilities of that position in addition to her duties as evening shift supervisor.  This act allowed the University to save money by not having to hire another supervisor while still maintaining the same level of service to the University community.

Cheryl readily fills in for absences and emergencies that occur during the morning and evening shifts and keeps the ship afloat a lot of the time!!  She always performs her duties in a friendly and professional manner.

It is with great pleasure that the Points of Excellence Award for September 2010 be presented to Cheryl Miller, as she exemplifies the true spirit of service to Truman, its students and the Kirksville Community.
