February 2011 Points of Excellence Award Winner

The Points of Excellence Award for February 2011 goes to Gary Blurton of the Physical Plant.

As our chief housekeeper for the Art Department, Gary has cheerfully worked to keep our studios and offices in top condition. With all of the creative activity in the Ophelia Parrish Building, there is always much to clean. From ink and paint in the sinks, the tons of scrap matboard and foamcore, and the trash we routinely generate in our offices and classrooms; Gary has kept our area neat and clean. He is dependable and always willing to go the extra mile for us. He is always friendly and cheerful to faculty and students. In a word, Gary is a model employee and a person who has earned everyone’s friendship and respect.

It is with great pleasure that the Points of Excellence Award for February 2011 be presented to Gary Blurton, as he exemplifies the true spirit of service to Truman, its students and the Kirksville Community.
