Staff Development Program

The University believes that its staff is one of the institution’s most valuable resources.  The mission of the Staff Development Committee is to provide opportunities for individuals to refine and develop their skills and abilities and thus to enhance their ability to contribute meaningfully to Truman State University.

RSVP for an upcoming Staff Development Seminar.

In addition, Staff Council is again accepting grant proposals for Professional Development opportunities. If you are interested in learning a new skill, becoming certified in a discipline, or honing a talent that will aid in your current position then click HERE to fill out the Staff Council Professional Development Initiative grant proposal. Proposals will be accepted through Friday, February 16. A review of all proposals will take place after the form closes and approved grants will be announced.

Staff Council has limited funds so not all proposals may be approved, and Staff Council reserves the right to only approve partial funds. The professional development opportunity must take place during the 2018 fiscal year (prior to June 30, 2018).

Staff Council is also interested in bringing wide-scale professional development opportunities to campus. Click HERE to fill out a very short survey on broad PD topics. This is not required to submit a proposal.
