Retirement Benefits

The University contributes a percentage of each employee's salary to the Missouri State Employees Retirement System (MOSERS). (Note: Not all the information at this site applies to Truman employees.) All current full-time (non-faculty) University employees are members and are vested after five years of service. 

Full-time (non-faculty) University employees hired after January 1, 2011 are vested after ten years of service and are required to contribute 4% of their gross salary in addition to the University contribution. 

As of July 2002, new faculty members will participate in MOSERS College and University Retirement Plan (CURP) and will vest immediately.
