Sick Leave Benefits and the Family Medical Leave Act

Sick leave is provided for periods of temporary absence due to illness or injury of the employee or an immediate family member.

The University complies with the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993. It is important that all absences of more than three days for medical or family reasons be reported to Human Resources so a determination of applicability can be made.
