Tax Sheltered Annuities

Payroll deductions may be arranged for pre-tax and Roth contributions to approved tax sheltered annuity companies. The list of approved companies is below. To begin deductions for a 403(b) company or with Missouri Deferred Compensation (a 457 plan), contact that company’s representative to create an account then complete the Truman State University Salary Reduction Agreement Form.

The Salary Reduction Agreement form is available here. Complete and sign the form then bring it to the Human Resources Office. To cancel a deduction, check the “Termination” box and list all companies with $0 as the deduction amount.

The IRS limits the amount an individual may contribute to each plan during a calendar year. The 2026 contribution limits are below:
